4. Product Overview
The SCS Sentinel AudioKit 3208D consists of two main components:
4.1. Indoor Audio Handset
This unit allows you to communicate with visitors at your door and release the electric door strike or lock. It features a traditional telephone-style handset for clear audio and a dedicated button for door release.
4.2. Outdoor Flush-Mounted Aluminum Panel
Installed at your entrance, this robust aluminum panel includes a call button, a microphone, a speaker, and a backlit nameplate for visitor identification. It is designed for flush installation into a wall or pillar.

5. Installation
The AudioKit 3208D uses a 2-wire connection system for simplified installation. Ensure all wiring is correctly connected before applying power.
5.1. Wiring Diagram (General)
Connect the two wires from the outdoor panel to the corresponding terminals on the indoor handset. The system includes an integrated transformer within the indoor handset. Ensure the maximum connection distance of 50 meters is not exceeded for optimal performance.
5.2. Outdoor Panel Installation
The outdoor panel is designed for flush mounting. Prepare an opening in the wall or pillar according to the flush-mount box dimensions (165 x 100 x 42 mm). Secure the flush-mount box, then connect the wiring and finally secure the aluminum outdoor panel (116 x 198 x 55 mm) into the box.

5.3. Indoor Handset Installation
Mount the indoor handset (98 x 214 x 40 mm) on an interior wall at a convenient height. Connect the 2-wire cable from the outdoor panel to the designated terminals on the back of the handset. Ensure the handset is securely fastened to the wall using the provided screws.

5.4. Power Connection
The indoor handset has an integrated transformer. Connect the handset to a standard electrical outlet. Once connected, the system will be powered and ready for use.
6. Operation
6.1. Receiving a Call
When a visitor presses the call button on the outdoor panel, the indoor handset will ring. Lift the handset to establish two-way audio communication with the visitor.

6.2. Opening the Door
During a call, press the dedicated door release button on the indoor handset to activate the electric door strike or lock, allowing the visitor entry. This system supports electric strike and electric lock opening.
6.3. Adjusting Ringer Volume
The indoor handset offers 2 levels of ringer volume adjustment. Refer to the specific controls on your handset to select the desired volume level.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the indoor handset and outdoor panel. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
