Important Safeguards

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions.

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the motor base in water or other liquids.
  • Keep hands and utensils out of the processing bowl while operating to prevent injury and damage to the processor.
  • Always use the food pusher when feeding food through the continuous feed tube. Never use fingers or other utensils.
  • Ensure all parts are properly assembled and locked in place before operation.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

Parts and Components

Familiarize yourself with the various parts of your Waring FP2200 Food Processor:

  • Motor Base: Houses the 3/4 HP commercial-grade motor and controls.
  • Batch Bowl: Durable Lexan polycarbonate bowl with a 6-quart dry capacity or 4-quart wet capacity.
  • Continuous-Feed Attachment: Polycarbonate attachment with a super-large feed tube for continuous processing.
  • Lid: Secure lid for both batch bowl and continuous-feed operations.
  • Food Pusher: Used to guide food through the feed tube.

Setup and Assembly

Initial Setup:

  1. Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
  2. Wash all removable parts (bowl, lid, blades, discs) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Place the motor base on a clean, dry, stable surface.

Assembling for Batch Processing:

  1. Place the batch bowl onto the motor base, aligning the handle with the front of the base. Twist clockwise until it locks securely.
  2. Carefully place the desired blade (e.g., "S" blade) onto the center shaft in the bowl. Ensure it sits firmly.
  3. Add ingredients to the bowl. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
  4. Place the lid onto the bowl, aligning the lid tab with the handle. Twist clockwise until it locks securely. The unit will not operate unless the lid is properly locked.

Assembling for Continuous-Feed Processing:

  1. Place the continuous-feed attachment onto the motor base, aligning it correctly and twisting to lock.
  2. Insert the desired slicing or shredding disc onto the shaft within the continuous-feed attachment.
  3. Place the lid with the feed tube onto the continuous-feed attachment, aligning and twisting to lock.
  4. Position a receiving container under the discharge chute.

Operating Instructions

General Operation:

  1. Ensure the unit is properly assembled and locked.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (120V).
  3. Use the smooth touchpad controls to operate the unit.
  4. For continuous-feed operation, feed ingredients through the super-large feed tube using the food pusher. Do not force food.
  5. When processing is complete, turn off the unit and unplug it before disassembling or removing food.

Processing Tips:

  • For best results, process similar-sized pieces of food.
  • Do not overload the batch bowl. Process in batches if necessary.
  • When using the continuous-feed attachment, ensure the receiving container is large enough to hold the processed food.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your food processor.

Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble all removable parts: bowl, lid, blades, and discs.
  3. Wash removable parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately. These parts are also dishwasher safe (top rack recommended).
  4. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or spray it with water.
  5. For stubborn food residue, use a non-abrasive brush or sponge.
  6. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing.

Storage:

Store the food processor and its accessories in a clean, dry place. Keep blades and discs in a safe location to prevent accidental injury.

Troubleshooting
