1. Introduction

This user manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Dometic CombiCool RF60 multi-power absorption fridge. Designed for versatility, this appliance can be powered by 12V DC, 230V AC, or gas, making it ideal for various applications such as camping, caravanning, or home use. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use to ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance.

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: Failure to observe these warnings could result in serious injury or death.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage. Inspect the fridge for any signs of damage incurred during transit. If damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact your dealer immediately.

3.2 Placement

Place the Dometic CombiCool RF60 on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper air circulation, especially at the rear where the cooling unit is located. Avoid placing the fridge in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this will reduce its cooling efficiency.

3.3 Initial Connection

Before connecting to any power source, allow the fridge to stand upright for at least 6 hours if it has been transported horizontally. This allows the refrigerant fluid to settle. Once settled, you can proceed with connecting to your desired power source.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power Modes

The Dometic CombiCool RF60 offers three power options:

4.2 Temperature Control

The temperature inside the fridge is controlled by a thermostat dial, usually located on the control panel. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity. A higher setting typically means colder temperatures. Allow several hours for the fridge to reach its set temperature, especially during initial cool-down.

4.3 Door Lock and Vent Option

The fridge is equipped with a secure door lock to prevent accidental opening during transport. It also features a vent option, which allows the door to be slightly ajar when the fridge is not in use. This prevents the build-up of odours and mildew inside the appliance.

4.4 Adjustable Shelves

The interior of the fridge includes adjustable shelves, allowing you to customize the storage space according to your needs. To adjust, simply lift the shelf and reposition it into the desired slots.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your fridge will ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Disconnect the appliance from all power sources before cleaning.

5.2 Defrosting

Over time, frost may build up on the cooling fins. When the frost layer becomes thick (approximately 3mm), the fridge should be defrosted. Disconnect the appliance from all power sources, remove all contents, and leave the door open. Place a towel or tray to collect any meltwater. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before restarting.

5.3 Storage

When storing the fridge for an extended period, ensure it is clean and completely dry. Leave the door slightly ajar using the vent option to prevent odours and mildew. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.
