3. Setup and Assembly
Your chainsaw may require some assembly before first use. A set of tools, including a socket wrench and carburetor adjustment screwdriver, is provided for this purpose. Always ensure the engine is off and the spark plug cap is disconnected before performing any assembly or maintenance.
3.1. Bar and Chain Installation
- Remove the chain cover by loosening the two nuts.
- Place the chain around the clutch drum and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction.
- Mount the guide bar onto the studs, aligning the chain tensioner pin with the hole in the bar.
- Replace the chain cover and hand-tighten the nuts.
- Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely by hand.
- Tighten the chain cover nuts securely.

3.2. Fuel and Chain Oil Filling
Always mix fuel in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources. Use fresh, unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a 2% mixture ratio (50:1). For example, 1 liter of gasoline requires 20 ml of 2-stroke oil.
- Fuel Tank: Fill with the correct 2% fuel mixture. Do not overfill.
- Chain Oil Tank: Fill with SAE 10W-30 engine oil. This oil lubricates the chain and bar during operation. Regularly check the oil level.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Starting the Engine
- Place the chainsaw on a firm, flat surface. Ensure the chain brake is engaged.
- Set the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position.
- Engage the choke (for cold starts).
- Pull the starter cord firmly and steadily until the engine fires briefly.
- Disengage the choke.
- Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts and runs.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before disengaging the chain brake and beginning work.

4.2. Cutting Operation
- Always maintain a firm grip with both hands on the chainsaw handles.
- Ensure stable footing and balance before starting a cut.
- Never cut above shoulder height.
- Be aware of kickback potential and use the safety brake as intended.
- Allow the chain to reach full speed before engaging the wood.
4.3. Stopping the Engine
To stop the engine, simply move the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw. Always ensure the engine is off and the spark plug cap is disconnected before performing any maintenance.
5.1. Daily Maintenance
- Clean the Air Filter: Remove and clean the air filter to ensure proper engine performance.
- Check Chain Tension: Adjust if necessary. A properly tensioned chain should not sag but should still be able to be pulled around the bar by hand.
- Check Chain Sharpness: A sharp chain cuts efficiently and safely. Sharpen or replace dull chains.
- Inspect the Guide Bar: Check for wear, burrs, or damage. Clean the guide bar groove.
- Check Chain Lubrication: Ensure the automatic oiler is functioning by observing oil spray from the chain tip when running at half throttle.
5.2. Periodic Maintenance
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug. Replace if worn or fouled.
- Fuel Filter: Inspect and clean or replace the fuel filter.
- Cooling Fins: Clean dirt and debris from the engine's cooling fins to prevent overheating.
5.3. Storage
- Empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor.
- Drain the chain oil tank.
- Clean the entire chainsaw thoroughly.
- Store the chainsaw in a dry, well-ventilated area, out of reach of children.
- Always use the provided chain cover during storage and transport.
6. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common operational issues. For problems not listed here, or if solutions do not resolve the issue, contact qualified service personnel.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine does not start | No fuel, incorrect choke setting, fouled spark plug, chain brake engaged. | Check fuel level, adjust choke, clean/replace spark plug, disengage chain brake. |
| Engine starts but stalls | Incorrect fuel mixture, clogged fuel filter, carburetor issues. | Ensure correct fuel mixture, clean/replace fuel filter, consult service manual for carburetor adjustment. |
| Chain does not move | Chain brake engaged, chain too tight, clutch issue. | Disengage chain brake, adjust chain tension, seek professional service for clutch. |
| Poor cutting performance | Dull chain, incorrect chain tension, worn guide bar. | Sharpen or replace chain, adjust chain tension, inspect/replace guide bar. |
| Excessive smoke | Incorrect fuel mixture (too much oil), clogged air filter. | Verify fuel mixture ratio, clean air filter. |
