1. Introduction

The Fostex TH900 Premium Stereo Headphones are designed for high-fidelity audio reproduction. 3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the headphones and the headphone stand from their packaging.
2. Headphone Stand Assembly (if required): If the ST300 stand requires assembly, follow the instructions provided with the stand. Place the assembled stand on a stable, flat surface.
3. Connecting to an Audio Source:

   The TH900 headphones feature a fixed audio cable with a gold-coated 1/4-inch (6.35mm) stereo plug. Connect this plug directly into the corresponding 1/4-inch headphone output jack on your audio amplifier, receiver, or other audio device. Ensure the connection is secure.

   If your audio source only has a 3.5mm (1/8-inch) headphone jack, you will need a high-quality 1/4-inch to 3.5mm adapter (not included). Connect the 1/4-inch plug of the headphones to the adapter, then connect the adapter to your audio source.
4. Wearing the Headphones:

   Adjust the headband so that the earcups comfortably cover your ears. The soft ear pads are designed for extended listening comfort. Ensure a proper seal around your ears for optimal sound quality and bass response.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the controls on your connected audio source. Start with a low volume and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level. Avoid excessively high volumes to prevent hearing damage.
2. Listening Environment: While the TH900 offers some passive noise isolation, it is not designed for active noise cancellation. For the best listening experience, use the headphones in a quiet environment.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning Earcups and Headband: Gently wipe the ear pads and headband with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the driver units. Allow to air dry completely before use.
• Cleaning Lacquer Housings: The Urushi lacquer finish is delicate. Clean the earcups with a very soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish.
• Cable Care: Avoid sharply bending or twisting the audio cable. Do not pull on the cable to disconnect the plug; always grasp the plug itself.
• Storage: When not in use, store the headphones on the provided ST300 headphone stand to maintain their shape and protect them from dust and damage. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
