1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

WARNING:

3. Product Overview

The STANLEY 1-79-206 Rolling Workshop is a 3-in-1 modular system designed for versatile tool storage and transport. It consists of three main detachable units:

• Top Toolbox: A 19-inch detachable toolbox with a drawer, suitable for frequently used tools.
• Middle Unit: Features deep and shallow drawers for organized storage of various items.
• Bottom Unit: A large flip-bin for bulkier tools, equipped with integral rear pockets for long items and an integrated V-groove for sawing support.

4. Setup

4.1 Assembling the Modular Units

The workshop arrives as a complete unit. To separate or re-attach the modules:

1. Locate the side latches on each module. These latches connect and hold each module of the rolling workshop together.
2. To detach a module, lift the side latches on both sides of the desired separation point.
3. Carefully lift the upper module(s) away from the lower module.
4. To re-attach, align the modules and press down firmly until the side latches click into place, ensuring a secure connection.

4.2 Adjusting the Telescopic Handle

The aluminum telescopic handle allows for easy maneuvering. To adjust:

1. Press the release button located at the base of the handle.
2. Extend or retract the handle to your desired height.
3. Release the button to lock the handle in position.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Accessing Storage Compartments

• Top Toolbox: Lift the one-touch latch at the front to open the lid. The integrated drawer can be pulled out for smaller items.
• Middle Drawers: Pull the yellow handles to open the shallow and deep drawers.
• Bottom Flip-Bin: The large bottom compartment opens by flipping down the front panel, providing access to larger tools.

5.2 Utilizing Integrated Features

• Rear Pockets: Use the integral rear pockets on the bottom unit to store longer items such as spirit levels or saws.
• V-Groove: The integrated V-groove on the lid of the bottom unit provides a stable surface for holding timber, pipes, or plastic tubing during cutting tasks.

5.3 Transporting the Workshop

Extend the telescopic handle and tilt the workshop back onto its heavy-duty wheels. Pull or push the unit to your desired location. The robust wheels are designed for easy maneuverability on various surfaces.

5.4 Securing the Workshop

The metal latches on the top toolbox include a padlock eye. To secure your tools, insert a padlock (not included) through the eye and lock it.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your rolling workshop.

• Cleaning: Wipe down all surfaces with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the plastic or aluminum components.
• Latches and Hinges: Periodically check all latches and hinges for proper function. Ensure they are free from debris and operate smoothly.
• Wheels: Inspect the wheels for wear and tear. Keep the wheel axles clear of dirt and obstructions to maintain smooth rolling.
• Telescopic Handle: Ensure the telescopic handle extends and retracts freely. Clean any dirt or grime from the sliding mechanism.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your rolling workshop, consider the following:

• Sticking Drawers: Check for obstructions or excessive weight in the drawers. Ensure the workshop is on a level surface.
• Difficulty Detaching/Attaching Modules: Verify that the side latches are fully disengaged or properly aligned. Ensure no debris is preventing the modules from seating correctly.
• Wobbly Handle: Ensure the telescopic handle is fully extended and locked into position. If the issue persists, inspect the locking mechanism for damage.
• Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly: Check for debris (e.g., string, hair) wrapped around the axles. Clean the wheels and axles as needed.
