1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your Remington Pro Spiral Curl CI5319 hair curler. 4. Setup

5.1. Powering On and Temperature Selection

1. Press the On/Off switch to turn on the appliance.
2. Select your desired temperature using the temperature control dial. The appliance offers 8 temperature settings, with a maximum temperature of 210°C.
3. The appliance heats up quickly, reaching operating temperature in approximately 30 seconds. The ready indicator light will illuminate when the selected temperature is achieved.

5.2. Curling Your Hair

1. Take a section of hair, approximately 1 inch wide.
2. Open the tong clamp and place the end of the hair section under the clamp.
3. Close the clamp and carefully roll the hair section around the barrel, moving towards the scalp. Ensure the hair is evenly distributed around the barrel.
4. Hold for 5-10 seconds, depending on your hair type and desired curl intensity. Use the cool tip for stability.
5. Release the clamp and gently unroll the hair from the barrel.
6. Repeat the process for all sections of hair.
7. After styling, press the On/Off switch to turn off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet.

Note: The appliance features an automatic safety shut-off after 60 minutes of inactivity.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
3. Ensure no water or moisture enters the appliance.
4. Store the appliance in a safe, dry place, away from heat sources, when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

• Appliance not heating up: Ensure the appliance is properly plugged into a working power outlet and the On/Off switch is in the 'On' position.
• Curls not holding: Ensure your hair is completely dry before styling. Use a higher temperature setting if your hair is thick or difficult to curl. Hold the hair around the barrel for a slightly longer duration.
• Hair snagging: Ensure hair sections are smooth and tangle-free before curling. Do not wrap too much hair around the barrel at once.
• Automatic shut-off: This is a safety feature. The appliance will turn off after 60 minutes of inactivity. Simply turn it back on if you wish to continue styling.
