Initial Power-On

Main Unit Controls

• Rotary Knob: Turn to adjust volume. Press to enter menu options or confirm selections.

CD Playback

1. Insert a CD into the disc slot with the label side facing up. The unit will automatically begin playback.

1. Connect a USB device to the USB input or insert an SD card into the SD card slot.

Bluetooth Connectivity

1. Pairing: Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and search for available devices. Select "DEH-970" from the list. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete pairing.
2. Audio Streaming: Once paired, select Bluetooth Audio as the source to stream music from your device.
3. Hands-Free Calling: When a call comes in, press the phone button on the unit or remote to answer. Use the included hands-free microphone for clear communication.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

Wipe the unit's surface and front panel with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth with a small amount of neutral detergent and then wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol, as these can damage the finish.

Media Care

• CDs: Handle CDs by their edges. Clean with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
• USB Devices/SD Cards: Ensure these are clean and free of debris before insertion. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or moisture.

Troubleshooting

No Power/No Sound

• Check all power and speaker connections. Ensure they are securely fastened.
• Verify the vehicle's ignition is on and the unit's fuse is intact.
• Increase the volume level.

Bluetooth Pairing Issues

• Ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable.
• Delete previous pairing records from both the DEH-970 and your mobile device, then attempt to pair again.
• Move your mobile device closer to the DEH-970.

CD/USB/SD Playback Errors

• Ensure the media is inserted correctly and is clean.
• Verify that the audio files are in a supported format.

Automatic Antenna Extension
