Introduction

The BenQ GL2250 is a 21.5-inch LED monitor designed for general computing and multimedia viewing. Setup

1. Assembling the Monitor Stand

  1. Carefully place the monitor screen face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
  2. Attach the stand neck to the back of the monitor until it clicks into place or is secured with screws (if applicable).
  3. Attach the stand base to the bottom of the stand neck and secure it with the captive screw.
  4. Gently lift the assembled monitor and place it upright on a stable desk.

2. Connecting Cables

Connect the necessary cables to the monitor's rear ports. Refer to the image below for port locations.

  • Power Cable: Connect one end of the power cable to the monitor's power input port and the other end to an electrical outlet.
  • Video Cable (VGA or DVI):
    • For VGA connection, connect the VGA cable from your computer's video output to the monitor's VGA input.
    • For DVI connection, connect the DVI cable from your computer's video output to the monitor's DVI-D input.

Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the monitor.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Locate the power button on the lower right bezel of the monitor. Press it to turn the monitor on or off. The power indicator light will illuminate when the monitor is on.

2. On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu Navigation

The OSD menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. The control buttons are located on the lower right bezel, next to the power button.

  • Press any OSD button to activate the menu.
  • Use the arrow buttons to navigate through menu options.
  • Press the 'Enter' or 'Menu' button to select an option or confirm a setting.
  • Use the 'Exit' or 'Back' button to return to the previous menu or exit the OSD.

3. Senseye 3 Viewing Modes

The BenQ GL2250 features Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology, offering six pre-set viewing modes optimized for different content types. These modes can be accessed and selected through the OSD menu:

  • Standard: General purpose viewing, balanced settings.
  • Movie: Enhanced contrast and color for film and video content.
  • Game: Optimized for gaming, often with faster response times and brighter visuals.
  • Photo: Accurate color reproduction for viewing digital images.
  • sRGB: Standard Red Green Blue, for consistent color across devices.
  • Eco: Reduces power consumption while maintaining acceptable image quality.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Monitor

  • Always turn off and unplug the monitor before cleaning.
  • Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a specialized screen cleaner. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen.
  • Casing: Wipe the casing with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

2. General Care

  • Avoid placing the monitor in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the monitor.
  • Do not block ventilation openings.

Troubleshooting
