3. Setup and Installation

The HornBlasters PA-100H is designed for straightforward installation. Basic knowledge of 12V automotive electrical systems is recommended.

3.1 Speaker Mounting

The weather-resistant speaker is designed to be mounted underneath your vehicle. Choose a location that is secure and allows for optimal sound projection while protecting the speaker from direct impact. Ensure the speaker is not fully submerged in water, as this can cause damage.

3.2 Control Unit Placement

4.1 Public Address (PA) Function

2. Turn the unit ON using the main power switch.
3. Select the 'MIC' position on the rotary switch.
4. Adjust the 'GAIN' knob to control the microphone volume.
5. Speak clearly into the microphone. Your voice will be amplified through the external speaker.

4.2 Siren Operation

The PA-100H features several siren tones. Remember, these are for off-road use only.

1. Turn the unit ON.
2. Use the rotary switch to select the desired siren tone: 'WAIL', 'YELP', or 'HI-LO'.
3. The selected siren will sound through the external speaker.
4. To stop the siren, turn the rotary switch to 'OFF' or 'MIC'.

4.3 Auxiliary Input

The unit includes an auxiliary input ('AUX') for playing external audio through the speaker. Connect an audio device (e.g., phone, MP3 player) to the AUX input using the provided cable. Select 'AUX' on the rotary switch to enable this function.

• No Sound from PA/Siren: Verify the speaker is properly connected. Check the 'GAIN' knob setting for PA function. Ensure the correct mode (MIC, WAIL, YELP, HI-LO, AUX) is selected on the rotary switch.
• Distorted Sound: Adjust the 'GAIN' knob for the microphone. Ensure the speaker is not obstructed.
• Siren Malfunctions: If a siren sounds by itself or behaves erratically, check for loose wiring or internal damage. Disconnect power and contact support if the issue persists.
