Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

Open the battery compartment cover. Insert the supplied Lithium-Ion battery, ensuring correct orientation. Close the cover securely until it clicks. Connect the camera to a power source using the USB cable for charging. The charging indicator will show status.

2. Memory Card Installation

The camera supports SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. Open the battery/memory card compartment. Insert the memory card into the slot with the label facing the correct direction until it locks into place. Close the compartment cover securely.

3. Initial Power On and Date/Time Setting

Press the Power button to turn on the camera. Upon first use, you will be prompted to set the date, time, and language. Use the directional pad to navigate and the OK button to confirm your selections.

Operating the Camera

Basic Photography

Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button.
Taking a Photo: Frame your shot using the LCD screen. Press the Shutter Button halfway to focus, then press fully to capture the image.
Zoom: Use the Zoom Lever (W/T) to zoom in (T) or out (W).

Video Recording

The Olympus Tough TG-620 supports Full HD 1080p video recording. It features Intelligent Auto (iAuto) for automatic scene detection, Multi-Motion Image Stabilization for smooth footage, and Stereo Audio Recording for clear sound.

One-Touch HD Recording: Press the dedicated Video Record Button to start and stop recording.
Intelligent Auto (iAuto): The camera automatically detects various shooting scenes and adjusts settings for optimal lighting conditions, even in low or changing light. This ensures clear video without manual adjustments.
Multi-Motion Image Stabilization: This feature helps to reduce blur and shakiness in videos, even when the subject or camera is in motion, resulting in smoother and more stable footage.
Stereo Audio Recording: Capture crisp, CD-quality stereo sound with your videos, ensuring that audio is as clear as the visuals.

Playback

You can connect your Olympus Tough TG-620 to a TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately) to view your photos and videos on a larger screen with HD picture quality and clear stereo sound. Simply connect the HDMI cable from the camera's HDMI port to your TV's HDMI input. Use your TV's input selection to switch to the correct HDMI channel.

Maintenance

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens and LCD screen, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution designed for optical surfaces.
Waterproof Care: After using the camera in water, rinse it with fresh water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Inspect the battery/memory card compartment seals for any debris or damage before and after each use to maintain waterproof integrity.

Troubleshooting
