5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Technics SL-PG100 CD Player:
5.1 Placement
- Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation (at least 10 cm on top and sides).
- Avoid placing the unit near strong magnetic fields or direct sunlight.
5.2 Connecting to an Amplifier/Receiver
- Ensure both the CD player and your amplifier/receiver are turned off.
- Connect an RCA audio cable (not included) from the Analog Audio Output (L/R) jacks on the rear of the SL-PG100 to the corresponding "CD IN" or "AUX IN" jacks on your amplifier/receiver. 5.3 Power Connection
- Insert the provided power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear panel of the CD player.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable wall outlet.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Playback
- Press the Power Button to turn on the unit. The display will illuminate.
- Press the Open/Close Button to open the disc tray.
- Place a compact disc, label side up, into the disc tray.
- Press the Open/Close Button again to close the disc tray. The unit will read the disc, and the display will show the total number of tracks and total playing time.
- Press the Play Button (▶) to start playback. The current track number and elapsed time will be shown on the display.
- To pause playback, press the Pause Button (–). Press it again to resume.
- To stop playback, press the Stop Button (■).
- To skip to the next track, press the Skip Forward Button (▶▶).
- To skip to the beginning of the current track or the previous track, press the Skip Backward Button (◀◀).
6.2 Using Headphones
- Connect your headphones to the Headphone Jack on the front panel.
- Adjust the listening volume using the Headphone Volume Control knob.
- Note: Connecting headphones may mute the main audio outputs to your amplifier, depending on the unit's design.
