- Cleaning the Lens: Use a lens brush or a blower to remove dust. For smudges, use a lens cleaning cloth and lens cleaning fluid. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Do not expose it to extreme temperatures. If not using the camera for an extended period, remove the battery.
- Storage: Store the camera in a dry, dust-free environment, ideally in a camera bag, to protect it from impacts and environmental factors.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common solutions:
- Camera does not turn on:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
- Check that the battery compartment door is securely closed and locked.
- Lens does not extend or retract properly:
- Check for any obstructions around the lens.
- Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
- If a grinding sound is heard, discontinue use and contact support.
- Images are blurry:
- Ensure the lens is clean.
- Check that the camera has focused correctly before taking the shot.
- Use MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization) in iA mode to reduce blur from camera shake.
- Indoor photos are overexposed or flash is too strong:
- Adjust flash settings if available, or try shooting without flash in well-lit conditions.
- The camera's automatic exposure may need manual adjustment in specific indoor lighting.
- Cannot transfer photos to computer:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the camera and the computer.
- Verify that the Lumix Image Uploader software is installed and running on your computer.
- Check the camera's connection mode settings (if applicable).
