Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation.

- Secure with Pin: Align the pin holes on the extender with those on your vehicle's receiver. Insert a 5/8-inch hitch pin (not included) through the aligned holes and secure it with a clip (not included). Ensure the pin is fully seated and the clip is properly engaged.

Operating Instructions
- Weight Distribution: When using both receiver tubes, be mindful of the combined weight and ensure it does not exceed the extender's 4000 lb. GTW limit or your vehicle's towing capacity.
- Clearance: Be aware that the extender adds length to your vehicle's rear. Exercise caution when backing up, turning, or navigating tight spaces to avoid striking obstacles.
- Regular Checks: During long trips, periodically stop and check the security of all hitch connections, pins, and clips.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the extender regularly with mild soap and water to remove dirt, salt, and road grime. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Inspection: Before and after each use, inspect the extender for any signs of rust, cracks, bends, or other damage to the carbon steel structure or enamel finish. Pay close attention to welded areas and pin holes.
- Lubrication: Apply a light coat of grease or rust-inhibiting spray to the inside of the receiver tubes and the hitch pin holes to prevent corrosion and ease insertion/removal.
- Storage: When not in use, store the extender in a dry place to prevent rust and prolong its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
- Extender does not fit vehicle receiver: Ensure your vehicle has a standard 2-inch hitch receiver. The Haul Master Dual Hitch Extender is designed for this size. Check for any obstructions inside your vehicle's receiver.
- Hitch pin does not align: Ensure the extender is fully inserted into the vehicle's receiver. Wiggle the extender slightly to help align the pin holes. Do not force the pin.
- Excessive play/wobble: Ensure the hitch pin is fully inserted and secured with a clip. Some minor play is normal, but excessive movement may indicate an incorrect pin size or a worn receiver.
- Rust or corrosion: This can occur over time, especially in harsh environments. Regular cleaning and lubrication (as per Maintenance section) can prevent this. If significant rust is present, inspect for structural integrity before use.
