Setup

1. Unpacking and Checking Contents

2. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card

  1. Open the battery/card compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the battery with the correct orientation until it clicks into place.
  3. Insert an SDHC memory card into the card slot until it clicks. Ensure the card is facing the correct direction.
  4. Close the compartment cover securely.

3. Charging the Battery

  • Connect the camera to the battery charger using the provided USB cable.
  • Plug the charger into a power outlet.
  • The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging is complete when the light turns off.

4. Initial Settings (Date/Time)

Upon first power-on or after a battery change, you may be prompted to set the date and time. Use the directional buttons to navigate and the OK button to confirm your selections.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Press the ON/OFF button located on the top of the camera to power it on or off. The lens will extend when powered on.

2. Taking Photos

  1. Turn on the camera.
  2. Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
  3. Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus frame will turn green when focus is achieved.
  4. Press the shutter button fully down to take the picture.

3. Using the Zoom

Use the zoom lever (W/T) located around the shutter button to adjust the optical zoom. Push towards T for telephoto (zoom in) and towards W for wide-angle (zoom out).

4. Recording Videos

Press the dedicated Movie Record button (red dot icon) to start or stop video recording. The camera supports HD video recording.

5. Playback Mode

Press the Playback button (triangle icon) to view your captured photos and videos. Use the directional buttons to navigate through your media.

6. Menu Navigation and Reset

Press the MENU button to access camera settings. Use the directional pad to navigate through options and the OK button to confirm selections. To perform a factory reset, navigate to the camera menu, select "Reset," and confirm "Yes" to reset to default settings. To erase images, go to the Playback Menu, select "Erase," and choose "All Erase" or "Select Image" as needed.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Camera

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body.
  • For the lens, use a lens brush or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Clean the LCD screen with a soft, dry cloth.

2. Battery Care

  • Charge the battery fully before first use.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.

3. Storage

When storing the camera for extended periods, remove the battery and memory card. Store the camera in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in a camera bag.
