Installation Guide

Before installation, ensure you have two AA batteries (not included). The timer easily threads onto a standard garden hose faucet.

Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Insert two AA batteries, observing polarity. Securely close the compartment.

Attaching the Timer

Thread the timer's female coupler onto your outdoor faucet. Ensure the gasket inside the inlet collar is fully tightened against the hose bib or hose fittings to prevent leaks. For optimal performance, consider adding a vacuum breaker/backflow preventer and a pressure regulator (sold separately) as shown in the diagram.

Operating Instructions

The timer features an extra-large programming dial and readout screen for easy setup and review of watering schedules.

Setting the Clock

Turn the programming dial to 'SET CLOCK'. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the current time and day. Press 'OK' to confirm.

Setting Start Times

Turn the dial to 'SET START TIME'. You can program up to two start times per day. Use the arrow buttons to set the desired start times. Press 'OK' to confirm each time.

Setting Duration

Turn the dial to 'SET DURATION'. Use the arrow buttons to set the watering duration for each cycle, up to 6 hours. Press 'OK' to confirm.

Setting Run Days

Turn the dial to 'SET RUN DAYS'. Select the specific days of the week you wish for watering to occur. Press 'OK' to confirm your selections.

Automatic Operation

Once programming is complete, turn the dial to 'AUTO'. The timer will now operate according to your set schedule.

Manual Watering ('Water Now')

To manually water outside of the schedule, press the 'Water Now' button. Use the arrow buttons to set a temporary duration, then press 'OK'. Watering will begin immediately and stop after the set duration.

Cancelling Watering / Rain Delay

To stop a current watering cycle or to pause scheduled watering, press the 'Cancel Watering' button. This also functions as a 'Rain Delay', allowing you to pause watering for up to 96 hours. Use the arrow buttons to select the delay duration, then press 'OK'.

Maintenance and Care

Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator on the LCD screen shows low power, replace the two AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

Winterization

Important:

To prevent catastrophic damage, always remove the timer from the water supply when freezing temperatures are expected. Store the timer indoors in a dry, protected area during winter months.

Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the timer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the unit in water.
