Setup
- Initial Activation: As an automatic watch, the SNZG15 is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped, gently shake it side-to-side for approximately 30 seconds to initiate the movement. This will start the second hand.
- Setting Time and Date:
- Pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the first click position to adjust the date and day. Rotate the crown to set the desired day and date.
- Pull the crown out to the second click position to adjust the time. Rotate the crown to move the hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in to the normal position to start the watch.
Operating the Watch
- Day/Date Display: The watch features a day and date window at the 3 o'clock position. The day display may show in multiple languages; refer to the setting instructions to select your preferred language.
- Luminous Elements: The watch hands and hour markers are treated with luminous material to provide visibility in dark conditions after exposure to light.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the nylon strap, gentle cleaning with mild soap and water may be performed, ensuring it is thoroughly dried afterward.
- Water Resistance: This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). It is suitable for swimming and snorkeling. It is not recommended for scuba diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any water exposure.
- Strap Care: The original nylon strap may absorb sweat and dirt over time. Regular cleaning or replacement with a new strap (e.g., silicone or another material) can enhance comfort and hygiene.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: If the watch stops, it indicates that the mainspring has unwound due to lack of motion. Gently shake the watch for approximately 30 seconds to restart it, then wear it regularly to keep it wound.
- Inaccurate Timekeeping: Automatic watches may exhibit slight variations in accuracy. If the watch consistently gains or loses significant time, it may require professional adjustment.
