Setup
Package Contents
Before you begin, ensure all items are present in the package:
- PERIBOARD-706 Plus Keyboard
- USB Receiver (Nano receiver)
- User Manual
- 2 AAA Batteries (may be included or required separately)

Battery Installation
The Periboard-706 requires two AAA batteries for operation. Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
- Slide open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Connecting the USB Receiver
The keyboard connects wirelessly via a 2.4 GHz USB Nano receiver. To establish a connection:
- Remove the Nano receiver from its storage compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
- Plug the USB Nano receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Turn on the keyboard using the On/Off switch located on the underside.
- Press the "Connect" button on the underside of the keyboard to initiate pairing with the receiver. The keyboard should be recognized automatically by your operating system.

Keyboard Layout and Functions
The Periboard-706 features a compact layout with 84 keys, including standard alphanumeric keys, function keys (F1-F12), and dedicated multimedia hotkeys. The keyboard is designed for US English layout.

Integrated Trackball and Mouse Buttons
The keyboard includes a built-in 0.55-inch optical trackball for pointing and navigation, along with dedicated left and right click buttons. This allows for fluid screen navigation without the need for an external mouse.
- Trackball: Use your thumb or finger to move the cursor on the screen.
- Left Button: Functions as a standard left mouse click.
- Right Button: Functions as a standard right mouse click.

Multimedia Hotkeys
The Periboard-706 features 12 built-in multimedia hotkeys for convenient access to common functions. These keys allow for quick control over media playback, volume, and other system functions, enhancing efficiency across different working scenarios.

- For cleaning between keys, use compressed air to remove dust and debris.
Cleaning the Trackball
Over time, dust and debris can accumulate around the trackball, affecting its smooth operation. While the trackball is not designed for easy removal, you can clean around it:
- Use compressed air to blow away any visible dust or particles around the trackball and its housing.
- Gently wipe the surface of the trackball with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Avoid inserting sharp objects into the trackball mechanism.
