Troubleshooting
Leaking Tip-Toe Bathtub Drain
If your tip-toe bathtub drain is leaking, it may be due to the tip-toe washer not properly engaging with the stopper, allowing water to leak past. This can often be resolved by tightening the internal screw of the drain stopper.
Video: Troubleshooting Leaking Tip-Toe Bathtub Drain. This video demonstrates how to access and tighten the internal screw of the drain stopper to resolve leaks.
Steps to Resolve Leaking:
- Fully open the drain plug.
- Remove the cover cap from the drain plug. This may involve unscrewing it or pulling it off depending on the design. Alternatively, remove the entire cartridge from the drain body.
- Locate the screw inside the drain plug mechanism.
- Using a screwdriver, tighten this screw. This will help ensure the washer properly engages.
- Reinstall the cover cap or the cartridge and the drain plug.
