The C544 L is a high-performance miniature condenser head-worn microphone designed for comfortable and secure fit. It features an external shock mount to minimize mechanical noise and a short microphone arm for optimal placement near the mouth, reducing pop and breathing noise. A special moisture shield on the boom protects the microphone from sweat or makeup. It connects to the body-pack transmitter via a three-pin mini XLR connector and includes a windscreen.

Setup Instructions

  1. Positioning the SR45 Receiver: Place the SR45 receiver on a stable, flat surface, away from large metal objects or other wireless devices that may cause interference. Ensure good line-of-sight to the area where the transmitter will be used.
  2. Connecting the SR45 Receiver:
    • Connect the universal power supply to the DC input on the rear of the SR45 receiver and plug it into an appropriate power outlet.
    • Connect the audio output of the SR45 receiver to your mixer or amplifier using either an XLR cable or a 1/4" jack cable.
  3. Installing Battery in PT45 Transmitter: Open the battery compartment of the PT45 body-pack transmitter. Insert the supplied AA battery, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
  4. Connecting C544 L Microphone to PT45 Transmitter: Plug the three-pin mini XLR connector of the C544 L head-worn microphone into the input jack on the PT45 body-pack transmitter.
  5. Powering On:
    • Turn on the SR45 receiver by pressing the ON/OFF button. The display should illuminate.
    • Turn on the PT45 transmitter by sliding the ON/OFF/MUTE switch to the ON position.
  6. Frequency Synchronization: The system is pre-set for easy setup. The receiver and transmitter should automatically synchronize to the same frequency channel. Verify that the "RF OK" LED on the SR45 receiver is illuminated, indicating a stable radio frequency connection.
  7. Adjusting Gain: Speak into the C544 L microphone at your typical volume. Adjust the gain control on the PT45 transmitter to ensure the signal is strong but does not clip (indicated by the "CLIP" LED on the SR45 receiver).
  8. Volume Adjustment: Adjust the volume knob on the SR45 receiver to set the output level to your mixer or amplifier. Fine-tune the overall volume on your audio system.

Operating Instructions

Wearing the C544 L Microphone

Gently place the head-worn microphone over your ears, ensuring the headband is comfortable and secure. Position the microphone boom so the capsule is approximately 1-2 inches from the corner of your mouth. Adjust the flexible boom for optimal sound capture and to minimize breath noises.

Using the PT45 Transmitter

Attach the PT45 body-pack transmitter to your belt or clothing using the integrated clip. Ensure the antenna is not obstructed for optimal signal transmission. Use the ON/OFF/MUTE switch to control the microphone's audio output. The mute function allows you to temporarily silence the microphone without turning off the unit.

Monitoring System Status

Regularly observe the LEDs on the SR45 receiver:

The PT45 transmitter also has a battery status indicator. This LED will turn red when the battery level is low, signaling that the battery should be replaced soon.

Cleaning

Battery Replacement

Replace the AA battery in the PT45 transmitter when the battery status indicator turns red. Always use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance and battery life.
