5. Setup
5.1 Placement
Place the CD player on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
5.2 Connecting to an Amplifier/Receiver
The AV2-CD509 offers multiple output options for connecting to your audio system:
- RCA Stereo Output: Connect an RCA stereo cable from the 'LINE OUT' jacks on the rear of the CD player to the 'CD IN' or 'AUX IN' jacks on your amplifier/receiver.
- Optical Digital Output: For digital audio transmission, connect an optical cable from the 'OPTICAL OUT' port on the CD player to an optical input on your amplifier/receiver or DAC.
- Coaxial Digital Output: For digital audio transmission, connect a coaxial cable from the 'COAXIAL OUT' port on the CD player to a coaxial input on your amplifier/receiver or DAC.
5.3 Power Connection
Connect the supplied power cable to the AC IN socket on the rear of the CD player and then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet (230 V, 50 Hz).
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
Press the 'STANDBY' button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off. Ensure the rear power switch is in the 'ON' position.
6.2 CD Playback
- Press the 'OPEN/CLOSE' button on the front panel or remote control to open the disc tray.
- Place a CD (CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3-CD) gently into the disc tray with the label side facing up.
- Press 'OPEN/CLOSE' again to close the tray. The player will read the disc.
- Press the 'PLAY/PAUSE' button to start playback.
- Use the 'PREV' and 'NEXT' buttons to skip tracks.
- Press 'STOP' to stop playback.
- Use the 'REPEAT' button to repeat the current track or the entire disc.
6.3 USB Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port on the front panel.
- Press the 'SOURCE' button on the remote control until 'USB' is selected.
- The player will automatically scan and begin playing MP3 files.
- Use the 'PREV', 'NEXT', 'PLAY/PAUSE', and 'STOP' buttons for control.
6.4 FM Radio Operation
- Press the 'SOURCE' button on the remote control until 'TUNER' or 'FM' is selected.
- Auto Scan: Press the 'AUTO' button to automatically scan and store available radio stations. The player can store up to 40 preset stations.
- Manual Tuning: Use the 'CH+' or 'CH-' buttons to manually tune to a specific frequency.
- Recalling Presets: Use the numeric buttons (0-9, 10+) on the remote control to directly select a stored preset station.
