2. Package Contents

Please check the package for the following items:

  • 1 x Technoline TX 35 DTH-IT Wireless Outdoor Sensor (White)

Note: 2 x LR06 (AA) batteries are required for operation and are not included in the package. Please purchase them separately.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the sensor.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) LR06 (AA) batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Sensor Placement

The TX 35 DTH-IT sensor is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. For optimal performance and accurate readings, consider the following:

  • Outdoor Placement: Choose a shaded area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to prevent inaccurate temperature readings. Ensure it is protected from heavy rain and snow.
  • Indoor Placement: Place the sensor in a location where it can accurately measure the ambient temperature and humidity, away from direct drafts, heating vents, or air conditioning units.
  • Wireless Range: The sensor operates on an 868 MHz frequency. Place it within the effective wireless range of your compatible Technoline weather station. Obstructions like thick walls, metal structures, or electronic devices can reduce the transmission range.

3.3 Pairing with Weather Station

Once batteries are installed, the sensor will automatically begin transmitting data. Refer to your specific Technoline weather station's user manual for instructions on how to pair or add a new external sensor. Typically, the base station will have a function to search for new sensors, and the TX 35 DTH-IT will be detected and display its readings.

4. Operating

The TX 35 DTH-IT sensor continuously measures temperature and humidity. The current temperature reading is displayed on its integrated LCD screen. This data is also wirelessly transmitted to your compatible Technoline weather station, where it can be viewed alongside other weather data. The sensor operates automatically once powered on and paired.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery icon appears on the sensor's display or the readings become intermittent, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in Section 3.1. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new LR06 (AA) batteries.

5.2 Cleaning

To clean the sensor, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the casing or internal components. Ensure the sensor is dry before placing it back in its location, especially if used outdoors.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your TX 35 DTH-IT sensor, please refer to the following table:
