Setup and Assembly
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Ensure all components are present: blender base, WildSide+ jar with lid.
- Position the Base: Place the blender base on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Attach the Jar: Place the WildSide+ jar onto the blender base. The jar should sit securely on the drive socket.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the WildSide+ jar and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The blender base can be wiped with a damp cloth.

Operating Your Blender
Control Panel Overview
The Blendtec Total Classic Original Blender features a user-friendly control panel with pre-programmed cycles, manual speed control, and a pulse function.

Adding Ingredients
Ensure the jar is securely on the base. Add ingredients to the WildSide+ jar. The lid features an opening that allows you to add ingredients during blending without removing the entire lid.

Using Pre-programmed Cycles
The blender includes 6 pre-programmed cycles designed for common blending tasks. To use:
- Add ingredients to the jar and secure the lid.
- Place the jar on the motor base.
- Select the desired pre-programmed cycle by pressing its corresponding icon on the control panel. The blender will automatically adjust speed and duration, then shut off when complete.
Manual Speed Control
For customized blending, use the 10-speed control:
- Add ingredients to the jar and secure the lid.
- Place the jar on the motor base.
- Press the '+' or '-' buttons to increase or decrease the blending speed. The display will show the current speed setting.
- Press the 'Pulse' button for short bursts of high-speed blending. Release to stop.
- To stop blending, press the 'Stop' button or allow a pre-programmed cycle to complete.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Self-Cleaning Cycle
For quick and easy cleaning of the WildSide+ jar:
- Add 1 cup of warm water and a drop of dish soap to the empty jar.
- Secure the lid and place the jar on the motor base.
- Select the "Clean" or "Pulse" cycle for 5-10 seconds, or until clean.
- Rinse the jar thoroughly with clean water.
Manual Cleaning
- Jar and Lid: The WildSide+ jar and lid are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended) or can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water. The blunt wingtip blade design is intended for safety during cleaning.
- Motor Base: Unplug the blender before cleaning. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.

Troubleshooting
