Setup Instructions
1. Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Due to its weight (approximately 256 pounds), it is recommended to use appropriate lifting equipment or assistance.
- Place the printer on a stable, level surface capable of supporting its weight and dimensions (27.52 x 25.24 x 37.52 inches). Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
2. Power Connection

3. Toner Cartridge Installation

- Unpack each toner cartridge (compatible cartridges include 05R02801, 05R02802, 05R02803, 05R02804, 05R02805, 05R02806).

- Close the front access panel.

4. Loading Paper
The printer features multiple paper trays with a maximum input sheet capacity of 3140 sheets.
- Pull out the desired paper tray. The printer has 2 trays as standard.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size. The printer supports various sizes, including 8.5 x 11 inch and up to 11 inches in width.
- Load the paper (plain paper is supported) into the tray, ensuring it is flat and below the maximum fill line.
- Gently push the tray back into the printer.
- Confirm the paper type and size on the control panel if prompted.
5. Software and Driver Installation
To enable printing from your computer, install the necessary drivers.
