Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your GoPro HD HERO2, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Always ensure the waterproof housing is clean and free of debris before closing. Inspect the rubber seal for any damage.
  • After use in saltwater, rinse the camera and housing with fresh water and allow to air dry.
  • Clean the lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the lens.
  • Store the camera in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GoPro HD HERO2, consider the following common solutions:

  • Camera Rattling or Loose Parts: If the camera rattles or feels loose, inspect all external screws and components. Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed. If internal rattling is suspected, contact customer support.
  • Poor Image/Video Quality in Low Light: The camera performs best in well-lit conditions. For optimal results in low light, ensure adequate external lighting or adjust camera settings if available (though specific low-light settings are not detailed in provided features).
  • Vibration Issues in Mounted Footage: When mounting the camera on vibrating surfaces (e.g., motorcycles), excessive vibration can affect video stability. Experiment with different mounting locations or consider vibration-dampening accessories if available.
  • Connectivity Problems (Wi-Fi/USB): Ensure Wi-Fi BacPac™ is properly attached and powered. For USB connection, verify the cable is not damaged and the camera is recognized as a mass storage device by your computer.
