Operating Instructions

1. Melody Selection

Your clock offers two sets of hi-fi melodies. Locate the melody selection switch or button on the control panel, typically found on the side or back of the clock. Switch between the "Popular Selection" and "Christmas Selection" as desired.

  • Popular Selection: Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing, How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You), Stop In The Name Of Love, You're In My Heart "The Final Acclaim", Touch Me In The Morning, Weekend In New England.
  • Christmas Selection: Deck The Halls, O Tannenbaum, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Joy To The World, Silent Night, Jingle Bells.

2. Hourly Melody and Motion

On the hour, the clock's dial will open to reveal an abstract design, accompanied by one of the selected hi-fi melodies, an opening and closing melody, and ten colorful LED lights. The polished multicolor metal musician figurines, stars, and musical notes will also engage in motion. The rotating pendulum with Swarovski crystals will continuously move.

3. Light Sensor

The clock is equipped with a light sensor. This sensor automatically detects ambient light levels. When the room becomes dark, the clock will cease playing melodies to ensure quiet during nighttime hours. Melodies will resume automatically when sufficient light is detected.

4. Volume Control

Adjust the melody volume using the volume control knob or slider, typically located on the side or back of the clock. Rotate or slide to increase or decrease the sound level to your preference.

5. Demonstration Button

Press the "Demonstration" button (if present) to activate a sample of the hourly melody and motion sequence at any time, without waiting for the top of the hour.

6. On/Off Switch

An On/Off switch is provided to completely disable the melody and motion features while allowing the clock to continue keeping time. This switch is usually located near the battery compartment or control panel.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Case: Wipe the cherry wood panels and metallic case with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Glass Crystal: Use a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with glass cleaner if necessary, to clean the glass crystal. Spray cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the clock.
  • Moving Parts: Do not attempt to lubricate or clean the internal moving parts. Dust can be gently removed with a soft brush or compressed air.

2. Battery Replacement

Replace all four "D" batteries approximately once a year, or when the melodies become faint, the motion slows, or the clock stops keeping accurate time. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new, high-quality batteries. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section for instructions.
