4.1. Main Components
- Drum Pads: Seven velocity-sensitive pads for various drum and percussion sounds.
- Control Panel: Central interface with an LED display, buttons for mode selection, volume, tempo, and sound assignment.
- Foot Pedal Inputs: Ports for connecting the included bass drum and hi-hat pedals.

5. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Placement: Place the DD305 unit on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is enough space around the unit for comfortable playing.
- Connect Foot Pedals: Plug the two foot pedals into their respective jacks on the rear or side of the unit. Typically, one is for the bass drum and the other for the hi-hat.
- Connect Power: Insert the DC plug of the AC power adapter into the "DC IN" jack on the unit. Then, plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Power On: Press the "POWER" button on the control panel to turn on the unit. The LED display will illuminate.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
- Volume Control: Use the MASTER VOLUME knob to adjust the overall output volume.
- Playing Pads: Strike the drum pads with the included drum sticks to produce sounds. The pads are velocity-sensitive, meaning the sound will vary in intensity based on how hard you strike them.
- Foot Pedals: Press the foot pedals to trigger the assigned bass drum and hi-hat sounds.
6.2. Sound Selection and Assignment
The DD305 comes with a variety of built-in drum kits and individual percussion sounds. You can select different kits or assign specific sounds to individual pads.
- Selecting Drum Kits: Use the KIT button and the SELECT +/- buttons to cycle through the available preset drum kits.
- Pad Assign: To change the sound of a specific pad, press the PAD ASSIGN button, then strike the desired pad. Use the SELECT +/- buttons to choose a new sound for that pad. Press PAD ASSIGN again to exit.
6.3. Tempo and Metronome
- Tempo Adjustment: Use the TEMPO +/- buttons to increase or decrease the tempo of demo songs or the metronome.
- Metronome (Click): Press the CLICK button to turn the metronome on or off. This is useful for practicing with a steady beat.
6.4. Recording and Playback
The DD305 allows you to record your performances and play them back.
- Record: Press the REC button to enter record standby mode. Press it again to start recording. Play your desired rhythm. Press REC once more to stop recording.
- Playback: Press the PLAY/STOP button to play back your recorded performance. Press it again to stop.
6.5. Demo Songs
The unit includes built-in demo songs to showcase its capabilities and for you to play along with.
- Play Demo: Press the DEMO button to start playing the demo songs. Use SELECT +/- to choose different demo songs.
- Stop Demo: Press the DEMO button again or PLAY/STOP to stop playback.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power adapter and store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Pad Care: Avoid striking the pads with excessive force or sharp objects, as this can damage the sensors.
8. Troubleshooting
