Safety Instructions

  • Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before cleaning, lubricating, or making any adjustments.
  • Keep fingers away from all moving parts, especially the needle and cutting blades, during operation.
  • Do not operate the machine if the power cord is damaged or if the machine is not functioning correctly.
  • Ensure the machine is placed on a stable, level surface during use.
  • Keep children and pets away from the machine during operation.

Setup

Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Place the machine on a sturdy, flat surface. Ensure adequate space around the machine for comfortable operation and fabric handling.

Differential Feed Mechanism

The differential feed prevents wavy seams in knitted fabrics and controls movement between fabric layers. It also ensures pucker-free seams on lightweight fabrics. Adjust the differential feed ratio according to your fabric type to achieve desired results.

Convertible Presser Foot

The convertible presser foot allows for various sewing applications. Refer to the machine's specific instructions for changing and utilizing different presser foot configurations.

Machine Adjustment Chart

Utilize the provided machine adjustment chart to fine-tune settings based on the stiffness and thickness of your fabric, as well as the thread size and type. This ensures optimal stitch quality and performance.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Regularly clean lint and thread scraps from the machine, especially around the needle plate, feed dogs, and loopers. Use a soft brush or a small vacuum cleaner attachment. Ensure the machine is unplugged before cleaning.

Lubrication

Refer to the specific lubrication points indicated in your machine's detailed diagram (if provided separately). Use only high-quality sewing machine oil. Over-oiling can cause stains on fabric.

Needle Replacement

Replace needles regularly, especially if they become bent, dull, or burred. A damaged needle can cause skipped stitches or fabric damage. Use only the correct type and size of needles recommended for your SiRUBA HSO-747D.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter. For more complex problems, consult a qualified technician.

  • Skipped Stitches: Check if the needle is inserted correctly, not bent, and is the correct type for the fabric. Re-thread the machine carefully.
  • Thread Breakage: Ensure threads are not tangled, tension is correctly set, and the needle is not damaged. Check for burrs on thread guides or loopers.
  • Uneven Stitches/Puckering: Adjust thread tension settings. Verify the differential feed setting is appropriate for the fabric.
  • Machine Not Starting: Check power connection, ensure the power switch is on, and the foot pedal is properly connected.
