Setup
Unpacking and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove the HZ-500 from its packaging.
- Inspect the unit for any signs of shipping damage. If damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.
- Ensure all components are present: HZ-500 unit, power cable, and this user manual.
Fluid Installation
- Locate the fluid tank cap on the top of the unit.
- Unscrew the cap and carefully pour Antari HZL Haze Fluid into the tank. The tank capacity is 2.5 Liters.
- Do not overfill. Securely replace the cap.
- Ensure the fluid hose inside the tank is submerged in the fluid.

Power Connection
- Connect the power cable to the power inlet on the rear of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Ensure the unit is properly set up and filled with fluid.
- Turn on the main power switch located on the control panel. The unit will begin to warm up.
- Once warmed up (indicated by the display), you can control the haze output using the onboard controls or via DMX.
Control Modes
The HZ-500 supports Volume and Timer Mode via its onboard digital control panel, and DMX 512 control.
