Servicing the Torque Limiter Clutch

  1. Step 1: Separate the tractor between the engine and torque tube. Refer to Section 2210 for detailed separation instructions.
  2. Step 2: Remove the torque limiter clutch from the engine flywheel.
  3. Step 3: Clean the contact surface on the flywheel thoroughly.
  4. Step 4: Fill the cavity in the flywheel 2/3 full of Molykote Number 2.
  5. Step 5: Apply Loctite 271 to the threaded holes (not the bolts) in the flywheel. Start the two lower bolts and retainers into the flywheel.
  6. Step 6: Install the first clutch plate, spring side towards the flywheel.
