Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Rhino 4200 requires 6 AA batteries for operation. To install:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover off.
- Insert 6 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.
2. Label Cartridge Installation
The device uses DYMO Industrial labels. To install a label cartridge:
- Open the label compartment door, typically located on the side or top of the device.
- Insert the label cartridge with the label material facing the print head, ensuring it snaps firmly into place.
- Close the label compartment door.
3. Powering On

3. Favorites and Custom Keys
- Favorites Key: Provides single-key access to your most frequently used labels, symbols, and terms.
- Custom Key: Allows you to customize and save settings for individual label formats, avoiding repeated steps for common tasks.
4. Printing Labels
After entering and formatting your text, press the Print button. The label maker will print the label, which can then be cut using the integrated cutter.
The Rhino 4200 supports industrial labels in widths of 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4", available in flexible nylon, permanent polyester, and durable vinyl materials, as well as direct printing onto heat-shrink tubes.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Device

2. Label Cartridge Replacement
