Introduction
The Safariland Model 6004-19-2 Quick Locking System (QLS) is designed to provide a secure and efficient method for attaching and detaching holsters and accessories. Setup and Installation
The QLS19 Locking Fork is designed to be mounted to a holster, which then connects to a QLS22 Receiver Plate (sold separately) attached to a belt, thigh rig, or other mounting platform.
Attaching the QLS19 to a Holster
- Ensure your holster has a compatible three-hole pattern for mounting. Most Safariland duty holsters are compatible.
- Align the QLS19 Locking Fork with the mounting holes on the back of your holster.
- Insert the provided button-head screws through the QLS19 and into the holster's mounting points.
- Using the included Allen wrench, turn the screws clockwise until they are approximately 10 PSI tight, then hand-tighten for a secure fit. Do not overtighten.

Attaching Holster to a QLS22 Receiver Plate
Once the QLS19 is attached to your holster, it can be quickly connected to any QLS22 Receiver Plate.
- Ensure the QLS22 Receiver Plate is securely mounted to your desired platform (e.g., duty belt, thigh rig).
- Align the QLS19 on your holster with the slots on the QLS22 Receiver Plate.
- Slide the QLS19 downwards into the QLS22 until it clicks securely into place. A distinct click indicates proper engagement.
- To remove, press the two flexible tabs on the QLS19 inwards and slide the holster upwards.

Operating the QLS System

- Difficulty Attaching/Detaching:
- Ensure both the QLS19 and QLS22 are clean and free of debris that might obstruct the locking mechanism.
- Verify that the QLS19 is correctly aligned with the QLS22 before attempting to slide it into place.
- Check for any physical damage to the flexible tabs on the QLS19 or the slots on the QLS22.
- Loose Holster:
- Re-tighten the screws attaching the QLS19 to the holster.
- Ensure the QLS22 Receiver Plate is securely mounted to its platform (e.g., belt).
