  • 1 x Washer (pre-attached or separate)

Installation

The Weber 7581 Q Replacement Thermometer is designed for direct replacement on Weber Q 120, 220, 300, and 320 series grills. Follow these steps for proper installation:

  1. Ensure Grill is Cool: Before starting, make sure your Weber Q grill is completely cool and turned off.
  2. Remove Old Thermometer (if applicable): If replacing an existing thermometer, locate the mounting nut on the underside of the grill lid. Unscrew the nut and carefully remove the old thermometer from the lid.
  3. Insert New Thermometer: From the outside of the grill lid, insert the probe of the new Weber 7581 thermometer through the designated hole. Ensure the thermometer face is oriented correctly for easy reading.
  4. Secure with Mounting Hardware: From the inside of the grill lid, slide the washer onto the threaded shaft of the thermometer, followed by the mounting nut. Hand-tighten the nut initially.
  5. Final Tightening: Using a wrench or pliers, carefully tighten the mounting nut until the thermometer is secure and does not wobble. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the thermometer or the grill lid.

Operation

The Weber 7581 Q Replacement Thermometer provides an analog display of the internal temperature of your grill. Once installed, simply observe the needle on the dial to read the temperature.

  • The thermometer measures temperatures from approximately 150°F (65°C) to 600°F (315°C).
  • Allow a few minutes for the thermometer to register the accurate temperature after closing the grill lid.
  • Use the temperature readings to adjust your grill's heat settings for desired cooking results.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and accuracy of your thermometer:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the thermometer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the entire unit in water.
  • Storage: When not in use, ensure the grill is covered to protect the thermometer from harsh weather conditions.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the mounting nut to ensure it remains tight.
