4. Installation Instructions
This cover is designed for straightforward installation on a 4-inch octagon electrical box.
- Prepare the electrical box: Ensure the 4-inch octagon electrical box is properly installed and secured. Make sure all wiring is correctly terminated and safe.
- Mount the receptacle (if applicable): If installing a duplex receptacle, connect the wiring to the receptacle terminals according to electrical codes (typically black to brass, white to silver, ground to green). Secure the receptacle to the electrical box using the provided screws.
- Position the cover: Align the cover over the electrical box and the mounted duplex receptacle. The key-hole slots on the cover should align with the screws on the electrical box or receptacle mounting tabs.
- Secure the cover: Slide the cover into place so that the screws engage the narrow part of the key-hole slots. Tighten the screws until the cover is firmly secured against the electrical box and wall surface. Do not overtighten.

5. Operation

- Receptacle is loose: Ensure the duplex receptacle is securely mounted to the electrical box before installing the cover.
