Safety Instructions
- Always unplug the iron when filling with water, emptying, or when not in use.
- Do not leave the iron unattended while it is plugged in or on an ironing board.
- Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children.
- Do not immerse the iron, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Use the iron only for its intended purpose.
- Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or plug, or if it has been dropped or damaged.
Setup and First Use
Before First Use
Remove any labels or protective covers from the soleplate. It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to be produced during the first few uses as manufacturing residues burn off. This will dissipate quickly.
Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged.
- Set the steam control to the 'dry' position (no steam).
- Open the extra-large sealed inlet opening.
- Fill the water tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. The 9-ounce tank capacity minimizes refills.
- Close the inlet opening securely.

Operating Instructions
Temperature and Steam Settings
- Plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Adjust the temperature dial according to the fabric type. The iron heats up quickly.
- Once the desired temperature is reached, adjust the steam control for continuous steam (up to 35g/min).
- For stubborn wrinkles, press the steam burst button (80g/min). Allow a few seconds between bursts.
Vertical Steaming
The iron can be used vertically to steam hanging garments or drapes. Hold the iron upright and press the steam burst button. Ensure the iron is at the maximum temperature setting for effective vertical steaming.
Easycord System
The Easycord system keeps the power cord out of the way during ironing, preventing it from re-wrinkling already ironed fabrics. The cord pivots to adapt to your ironing movements.
Auto-Off Safety Feature
For enhanced safety, the iron features a 3-way auto-off function:
- If left on its soleplate or tipped over on its side, the iron will shut off automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity.
- If left vertically on its heel rest, it will shut off after 8 minutes.
Maintenance and Care
Self-Cleaning Technology
The iron is equipped with dual self-cleaning technology, including a calc-recollecting valve and an integrated anti-scale system. This helps maintain performance and prolong the iron's lifespan by collecting mineral deposits.
Cleaning the Soleplate
The Ultraglide ceramic soleplate is scratch-resistant and non-stick. To clean, ensure the iron is unplugged and cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
Storage
After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Wrap the cord around the extra-large heel for neat storage. Store the iron upright on its heel rest.
