Setup Guide
1. Assembly
- Connect the air hose to the motor unit's air outlet and the spray gun's air inlet. Ensure a secure connection.
- Attach the paint container to the bottom of the spray gun by screwing it on tightly.
- Select the appropriate spray pattern nozzle (vertical, horizontal, or circular) and attach it to the front of the spray gun.
- If desired, attach the shoulder strap to the motor unit for easier portability during use.

2. Paint Preparation and Viscosity
Proper paint viscosity is crucial for optimal spray performance and to prevent clogging. Most paints, especially latex/water-based, will need to be thinned. Use the included viscosity measuring cup to test your paint.
- Fill the viscosity cup with your paint.
- Measure the time it takes for the paint to completely drain from the cup. Refer to your paint manufacturer's recommendations or the Paint Zoom manual for specific drain times.
- If the paint drains too slowly, add a small amount of water (for water-based paints) or appropriate thinner (for oil-based paints) and mix thoroughly. Re-test the viscosity until the desired flow rate is achieved.
- Once the paint is properly thinned, pour it into the paint container of the spray gun. Do not overfill.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On and Spraying
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Turn on the power switch located on the motor unit.
- Hold the spray gun approximately 6-12 inches from the surface you intend to paint.
- Press the trigger to begin spraying. Move the gun in smooth, even strokes to ensure uniform coverage.

2. Adjusting Spray Patterns
The Paint Zoom offers three adjustable spray patterns to suit different painting needs:
- Vertical Fan: Ideal for horizontal surfaces like fences or decks.
- Horizontal Fan: Best for vertical surfaces such as walls or doors.
- Circular (Round) Spray: Suitable for small areas, corners, or intricate objects.
To change the spray pattern, rotate the air cap on the front of the spray gun to align with the desired pattern icon.

3. Application Tips
- Always test the spray pattern and paint consistency on a piece of scrap material before painting your main surface.
- Maintain a consistent distance and speed while spraying to avoid drips or uneven coverage.
- Overlap each pass by about 50% to ensure complete coverage.
- For best results, apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat.

Care and Maintenance
Proper cleaning after each use is essential to maintain the performance and longevity of your Paint Zoom sprayer.
- Immediately after use, empty any remaining paint from the container.
- Fill the paint container with appropriate cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, mineral spirits or thinner for oil-based paints).
- Spray the cleaning solution through the gun until it runs clear. This cleans the internal components.
- Disassemble the spray gun components (nozzle, air cap, paint container).
- Thoroughly clean all disassembled parts with the cleaning solution and the included cleaning pin for the nozzle. An old toothbrush can be useful for scrubbing.
- Rinse all parts with clean water and allow them to dry completely before reassembling or storing.
- Wipe down the exterior of the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor unit in water.
