3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the preserving automatic cooker from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Placement: Place the appliance on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for ventilation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the cooker and the insert rack with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Power Connection: Unwind the power cord from the integrated cable winding at the bottom of the unit. Plug the appliance into a grounded 230V/50Hz electrical outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Preserving Fruits and Vegetables
- Place the insert rack at the bottom of the cooker.
- Arrange your filled and sealed preserving jars on the insert rack. Ensure jars do not touch each other or the sides of the cooker.
- Fill the cooker with water until the jars are covered by approximately 2/3 of their height. Do not overfill.
- Place the lid securely on the cooker.
- Set the desired temperature using the control knob. For most preserving processes, refer to your recipe's specific temperature and time requirements. The thermostat can be set from 30°C up to boiling.
- The indicator light will illuminate when the heating element is active. It will turn off once the set temperature is reached and cycle on/off to maintain the temperature.
- Once the preserving time is complete, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Allow the jars to cool inside the cooker or carefully remove them using appropriate heat-resistant gloves.
4.2 Juicing (with optional attachment)
This appliance supports a juicer attachment (BIELMEIER Entsafteraufsatz BHG 630, Art.-Nr. 630028), which is sold separately. Follow the instructions provided with the juicer attachment for proper use in conjunction with this preserving automatic cooker.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your appliance.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the cooker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Interior Cleaning: Clean the interior of the cooker and the insert rack with warm water and a mild detergent. For stubborn residues, a soft brush or sponge can be used. Rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate inside the cooker, especially in areas with hard water. Descale the appliance regularly using a commercial descaling agent suitable for kitchen appliances, following the product's instructions. Alternatively, a solution of water and vinegar can be used.
- Storage: Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storing. Wrap the power cord around the integrated cable winding. Store in a cool, dry place.
6. Troubleshooting
