1. Safety Information
WARNING: Electrotechnical work must be performed exclusively by specialized electricians or under their direct supervision and guidance. Improper installation or handling can lead to serious injury or damage.
Always disconnect power before installation, maintenance, or any work on the device. Ensure all local and national electrical codes are followed.
2. Product Overview
The Eltako S2U12DDX-UC is a 2-channel programmable clock designed for DIN rail mounting. It features two potential-free contacts (1+1) rated at 16 A/250 V AC. This device supports LED lamps up to 600 W and incandescent bulbs up to 2000 W. It includes an Astro function for automatic switching based on sunrise/sunset, an illuminated display, and a power reserve of approximately 7 days without battery.
Thanks to patented Eltako-Duplex (DX) technology, the normally potential-free contacts can switch 230 V AC 50 Hz, significantly reducing wear. This is achieved by connecting the N conductor to terminal (N) and L to 1 (L) and/or 3 (L), resulting in an additional standby loss of only 0.1 W. The use of bistable relays eliminates coil power loss and heating when switched on.
Up to 60 memory locations are freely assignable across the channels. The device includes automatic date and summer/winter time changes.

3. Setup
3.1. Installation
The Eltako S2U12DDX-UC is designed for DIN EN 60715 TH35 support rail mounting. It occupies 1 division unit (18 mm wide, 58 mm deep).
- Ensure power is disconnected at the main circuit breaker before installation.
- Mount the device onto a standard DIN rail.
- Connect the N conductor to the (N) terminal.
- Connect the L conductor to 1 (L) and/or 3 (L) for the respective channels.
- For centralized control, connect the control input (+A1) for central ON or OFF with priority. The supply and control voltage for central control is 8 to 230 V UC.
- Verify all connections are secure and correct before restoring power.
3.2. Initial Configuration - Language Setting
After applying power for the first time, the language selection menu will appear.
- Within 10 seconds of applying power, use the SET button to select the desired language (D=German, GB=English, F=French, IT=Italian, ES=Spanish).
- Confirm your selection with the MODE button.
- The display will then show the normal view: weekday, time, day, and month.
Note on Speed: Parameters increase rapidly when the SET button is pressed and held. Release and press again for longer to change direction.
