Initial Setup

  1. Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the kettle and power base with a damp cloth.
  3. Wash the glass kettle interior, the tea infuser, and both lids with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. For first use, fill the kettle with fresh water to the MAX line. Boil the water (using the 212°F setting) and discard. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.
  5. Place the power base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling where it can be pulled or tripped over.

Operating Instructions

General Operation

  1. Ensure the kettle is unplugged from the power outlet before filling.
  2. Remove the kettle from its power base.
  3. Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX (1.2L) mark.
  4. Close the lid securely.
  5. Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
  6. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Kettle Mode (Boiling Water)

Use this mode for boiling water for instant coffee, soups, or other hot beverages that do not require tea infusion.

  1. Ensure the kettle lid (without the infuser) is in place.
  2. Press the Start/Stop button. The button will flash red.
  3. Press the Select button repeatedly until the 212°F indicator light is illuminated.
  4. Press the Start/Stop button again. The light will turn white/blue, indicating heating has begun.
  5. The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches 212°F, and the light will return to red.

Tea Maker Mode (with Infuser)

This mode allows for precise temperature control for various tea types.

  1. Fill the tea infuser with your desired loose-leaf tea. Do not overfill.
  2. Place the filled tea infuser into the kettle and secure its lid.
  3. Press the Start/Stop button. The button will flash red.
  4. Press the Select button repeatedly to choose the desired temperature setting:
    • 176°F (Low): Ideal for white, green, and yellow teas.
    • 194°F (Medium): Recommended for Oolong teas.
    • 203°F (High): Suitable for French press coffee.
    • 212°F (Boil): Best for black and Rooibos teas.
  5. Once the desired temperature is selected, press the Start/Stop button again. The light will turn white/blue, indicating heating has begun.
  6. The kettle will heat the water to the selected temperature and then automatically shut off. The light will return to red.
  7. Allow the tea to steep for the recommended time for your specific tea type.
  8. Carefully remove the tea infuser from the kettle once steeping is complete.

Keep Warm Function

The kettle can maintain a temperature of approximately 167°F for up to one hour after heating.

  1. After the kettle has reached its target temperature and shut off, press the Warm button.
  2. The kettle will maintain the water temperature at 167°F for up to 60 minutes.
  3. To deactivate the Keep Warm function, press the Start/Stop button.

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle.

Troubleshooting
