1. Introduction

The D'Addario Micro Headstock Tuner (Model PW-CT-12) offers effortless and inconspicuous tuning for a wide range of stringed instruments. 3.1 Battery Installation

The tuner operates on one CR2032 battery. If the battery is not pre-installed, locate the battery compartment on the back of the tuner, open it, and insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Close the compartment securely.

3.2 Attaching the Tuner

The D'Addario Micro Headstock Tuner features an adjustable padded clamp designed to securely attach to the headstock of most stringed instruments. Gently open the clamp and position it on the headstock, ensuring a firm but not overly tight grip. The compact size allows it to be placed discreetly behind the headstock.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (located on the back of the tuner) to turn the unit on or off. The tuner features an auto-off function that conserves battery life by shutting off after several minutes of no signal detection.

4.2 Tuning Process

Once powered on and attached to your instrument, pluck a single string. The tuner's piezo transducer will detect the vibration. The tri-color backlit screen will display the note being played:

Adjust your instrument's tuning pegs until the displayed note turns green.

4.3 Calibration

The tuner has a wide calibration range of 410-480Hz. To adjust the calibration, use the designated buttons on the back of the tuner (refer to Figure 2) to increase or decrease the reference pitch (A4). The default calibration is typically 440Hz.

4.4 Display Orientation

The tuner's display can be rotated 360 degrees and the letter orientation can be flipped four ways to ensure optimal viewing from any angle, regardless of where it is positioned on the headstock or whether you are left or right-handed.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the tuner, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or electronic components.

5.2 Battery Replacement

When the display dims or the tuner becomes unresponsive, it is time to replace the CR2032 battery. Follow the instructions in Section 3.1 for battery installation.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your D'Addario Micro Headstock Tuner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
