1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Always ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet before filling, emptying, or cleaning.
• Do not direct steam at people, animals, or electrical appliances. Steam is very hot and can cause burns.
• Never open the safety cap while the appliance is under pressure or hot. Allow it to cool down completely before refilling.
• Use only distilled or demineralized water to prevent limescale build-up. For optimal performance and longevity, consider using Polti Kalstop.
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

4. Setup

1. Unpack the Appliance: Carefully remove the Polti Vaporettino Lux and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Fill the Water Tank:
   • Unscrew the safety cap on top of the unit.
   • Using the provided water jug, fill the tank with up to 0.2 litres of distilled or demineralized water. Do not overfill.
   • For enhanced performance and to prevent limescale, you may add a dose of Polti Kalstop (sold separately) as per its instructions.
   • Securely screw the safety cap back on until it is tight.

3. Attach Desired Accessory: Select the appropriate accessory for your cleaning task (e.g., steam lance, brush, window tool) and firmly attach it to the steam nozzle.
4. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating up.

5. Operating Instructions

The Polti Vaporettino Lux heats up quickly, typically within a few minutes. The indicator light will turn off or change color when the operating pressure is reached.

1. Steam Activation: Press and hold the steam activation button located on the handle to release steam. Release the button to stop the steam flow.
2. Steam Regulation: The unit features a steam regulation dial (min/max) to adjust the intensity of the steam output according to the surface and cleaning requirement.
3. Cleaning Surfaces:
   • Hard Surfaces (Tiles, Grout): Use the steam grout tool or a brush attachment. Move the tool slowly over the surface to allow the steam to penetrate and loosen dirt.

   • Fabrics (Garments, Upholstery): Use the steam lance or a cloth-covered attachment. Hold the nozzle a few inches away from the fabric and move it steadily. Test on an inconspicuous area first.

   • Windows and Mirrors: Attach the steam window tool. Apply steam to the surface, then use the squeegee blade to wipe away condensation and dirt.

   • Small Objects (Jewelry, Fixtures): Use the steam nozzle directly, holding it at a safe distance.

4. Refilling: If the steam output decreases significantly or stops, the water tank is empty. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down for at least 10-15 minutes before carefully unscrewing the safety cap and refilling.
5. Finishing: When cleaning is complete, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before storing.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Polti Vaporettino Lux.

• Emptying the Tank: After each use, once the unit has cooled down completely, carefully unscrew the safety cap and empty any remaining water from the tank.
• Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Accessory Care: Clean all accessories after use. Brushes can be rinsed with water. Ensure they are dry before storing.
• Descaling (Limescale Prevention): To prevent limescale build-up in the boiler, which can affect steam flow and appliance efficiency, regularly use Polti Kalstop. Follow the instructions provided with the Kalstop product. The frequency depends on the hardness of your water and usage.
• Storage: Store the appliance and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
