Setup
1. Charging the Device
Before initial use, fully charge your Jabra Drive speakerphone. Connect the supplied USB cable to the speakerphone and the in-car charger. Plug the in-car charger into your vehicle's power outlet. The LED indicator will show charging status.
2. Mounting the Speakerphone
Attach the Jabra Drive to your car's sun visor using the included visor clip. Position it for optimal microphone pickup and speaker clarity.

3. Pairing with a Mobile Device
- Turn on the Jabra Drive by sliding the On/Off switch.
- The speakerphone will automatically enter pairing mode the first time it is turned on. Voice guidance will instruct you.
- On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Jabra Drive" from the list of found devices.
- If prompted for a passcode, enter "0000" (four zeros).
- Once paired, the Jabra Drive will announce "connected".
The Jabra Drive supports Multiuse functionality, allowing connection to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To turn on: Slide the On/Off switch to the 'On' position.
- To turn off: Slide the On/Off switch to the 'Off' position.
Call Management
- Answer Call: Press the Answer/End button (phone icon).
- End Call: Press the Answer/End button (phone icon).
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Answer/End button (phone icon). (Functionality may vary by phone.)
- Redial Last Number: Double-tap the Answer/End button (phone icon). (Functionality may vary by phone.)
- Mute/Unmute: Press the Mute button during a call.
Volume Adjustment
Use the dedicated volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on the speakerphone to adjust the call or media volume.
Audio Streaming (A2DP)
The Jabra Drive supports A2DP Bluetooth audio profile, allowing you to stream music, podcasts, and GPS directions from your compatible mobile device through the speakerphone.
Voice Guidance
The device provides voice alerts for important statuses:
- "Connected": When the Jabra Drive successfully connects to your phone.
- "Low battery": When the battery level is below 30 minutes of talk time. This alert repeats at 10-minute intervals.
Siri Integration (for iPhone 4S and later)
The Jabra Drive is compatible with Siri, Apple's intelligent software assistant. To activate Siri, press and hold the Answer/End button on the speakerphone. You can then use voice commands for various functions like sending text messages or asking questions.
Maintenance
- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, moisture, or corrosive substances.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device, as this will void the warranty.
Troubleshooting
Device Not Connecting Automatically
The Jabra Drive enters "Sleep mode" when connected phones are out of Bluetooth range (approximately 50 feet). If a phone returns within range within 10 minutes, it will automatically reconnect. If more than 10 minutes pass, the device will automatically shut off to save battery. To reconnect, slide the On/Off switch to 'Off' and then back to 'On'. The device will then announce "connected".
Poor Audio Quality
- Ensure the speakerphone is positioned correctly on the sun visor, away from obstructions.
- Check the volume levels on both the Jabra Drive and your mobile device.
- Move closer to your mobile device to ensure a strong Bluetooth connection.
- If experiencing echo or noise, the device features Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for cancellation. Ensure your environment is not excessively noisy.
Battery Drains Quickly
- Ensure the device is fully charged before use.
- Turn off the device when not in use to conserve battery life.
- The "low battery" voice alert will notify you when charging is needed.
