Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Camera
- Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to gently remove dust. For smudges, use a specialized lens cleaning solution applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
- LCD Screen: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust and fingerprints. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
2. Storage
Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Remove batteries if the camera will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
- Camera does not turn on: Check if batteries are inserted correctly and fully charged. Ensure the lens cap is removed.
- Blurry photos: Ensure the lens is clean. Check lighting conditions and use flash if necessary. Hold the camera steady or use a tripod, especially when using high zoom or in low light.
- Battery drains quickly: Use fresh, high-quality AA batteries. Reduce LCD brightness or turn off unnecessary features.
- Memory card error: Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly. Try formatting the card (this will erase all data) or use a different card.
