Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from your coffee maker.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the glass carafe and reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth.
- First Cycle (without coffee): Fill the water reservoir to the MAX 12-cup line with fresh, cold water. Place the empty reusable filter in the filter basket. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate. Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the On/Off switch to start a brewing cycle. Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the water from the carafe. This process cleans the internal components and removes any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
Operating Instructions
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the top lid of the coffee maker. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water (refer to the cup markings on the carafe). Pour the water from the carafe into the water reservoir. Do not exceed the MAX 12-cup line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the reusable filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your personal preference.
- Close Lid: Close the top lid securely.
- Position Carafe: Place the empty glass carafe onto the warming plate. Ensure it is properly seated to activate the drip-stop mechanism.
- Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the On/Off switch. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the brewing cycle has begun.
- Serving: The brewing process will automatically stop when all the water has passed through. The warming plate will keep the coffee hot until the automatic shut-off activates. You can remove the carafe at any time during the brewing cycle to pour a cup, and the drip-stop feature will temporarily halt the coffee flow. Return the carafe to the warming plate within 20 seconds to prevent overflow.
- Automatic Shut-Off: The coffee maker features an automatic shut-off for safety and energy efficiency, turning off after a period of inactivity.
