Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when operating the Hefti-Lift. Read and understand all instructions before use. Ensure the load is centered and stable on the platform or forks. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 1500 lbs. This unit is NOT FOR USE WITH PALLETS. Always engage the foot-operated brake when the unit is stationary or during loading/unloading to prevent unintended movement.

Setup and Assembly

The Vestil HYD-15 Hefti-Lift typically arrives pre-assembled. Upon receipt, inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Ensure all components are securely fastened. No complex assembly is required for immediate operation. If the platform is not installed, align it with the fork mechanism and secure it as per the design. Operating Instructions

Lifting the Platform/Forks:

  1. Position the Hefti-Lift: Roll the unit to the desired location. Ensure the area is clear of obstructions.
  2. Engage Brake: Press down on the foot-operated brake to secure the unit in place.
  3. Load Placement: Carefully place the load onto the platform or forks, ensuring it is centered and stable. Do not exceed the 1500 lbs capacity.
  4. Operate Foot Pump: Step repeatedly on the foot pump pedal. Each pump will raise the platform/forks by approximately 3/4-inch. Continue pumping until the desired height is reached.

Lowering the Platform/Forks:

  1. Locate Release Lever: Identify the release lever, typically located near the handle.
  2. Slowly Depress Lever: Gently depress the release lever to slowly lower the platform/forks. Control the descent speed by adjusting pressure on the lever.
  3. Disengage Brake: Once the platform/forks are at the desired height or fully lowered, disengage the foot-operated brake to move the unit.

Maneuvering the Unit:

The unit rolls easily on its polyurethane casters. Use the handle to push or pull the lift to its destination. The two swivel casters provide excellent maneuverability in tight spaces.
