Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

Turning On/Off

• To turn the scale ON, press the ON/TARE button. The display will show "88888" and then "0.0g" (or the last used unit).
• To turn the scale OFF, press and hold the ON/TARE button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale also features an automatic shut-off after a period of inactivity to save battery life.

Changing Units

• With the scale turned on, press the MODE button to cycle through the available weighing units: grams (g), ounces (oz), carats (Ct), and pennyweights (ozt).

Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to zero out the weight of a container or any item placed on the scale before adding the substance you wish to weigh.

1. Place the empty container on the weighing platform.
2. Wait for the display to stabilize and show the container's weight.
3. Press the ON/TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0g" (or the current unit).
4. You can now add the item you wish to weigh into the container, and the display will show only the net weight of the item.

Weighing Items

1. Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface.
2. Turn on the scale by pressing the ON/TARE button.
3. If using a container, perform the Tare function as described above.
4. Gently place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the weighing platform.
5. Wait for the display to stabilize and read the weight.
6. Remove the item(s) from the platform.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the scale with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: Store the scale in a clean, dry environment. Use the protective cover when not in use to prevent dust and damage.
• Handling: Handle the scale with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong shocks, as this can affect its accuracy.
• Batteries: If the scale will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
