2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the VOICETONE E1 from its packaging. Ensure all components are present: the VOICETONE E1 unit and the power supply. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit.
2.2 Power Connection
- Connect the included 12V DC power adapter to the 'POWER' input on the rear of the VOICETONE E1.

3. Operating the VOICETONE E1
3.1 Controls Overview
The VOICETONE E1 features intuitive controls for shaping your vocal echo effects.

- 1. FX Knob: Selects the echo type and adjusts its intensity. Rotate to choose between various echo styles, from slapback to longer delays.
- 2. Feedback Knob: Controls the number of echo repeats. Higher settings result in more repeats.
- 3. Dry/Wet Knob: Adjusts the balance between your unprocessed (dry) vocal signal and the echo effect (wet). Turn clockwise for more effect.
- 4. Footswitch: Toggles the echo effect on/off. Hold down for tap tempo functionality.
- Analog Button: Engages an analog-style echo emulation for a warmer, more vintage sound.
3.2 Basic Operation
- Turn On: Ensure all connections are secure and power is supplied. The unit is ready when the power LED is lit.
- Engage Effect: Press the footswitch to activate the echo effect. The effect LED will illuminate. Press again to bypass the effect.
- Select Echo Type: Rotate the FX knob to explore different echo styles. Start with subtle settings and adjust to taste.
- Adjust Repeats: Use the Feedback knob to control how many times the echo repeats.
- Mix Level: Adjust the Dry/Wet knob to blend the echo effect with your dry vocal.
- Analog Mode: Press the Analog button to toggle between digital and analog-style echo.
3.3 Tap Tempo
The VOICETONE E1 features a tap tempo function to synchronize your echo repeats with the tempo of your music.

- To set the tempo, hold down the footswitch for approximately one second until the effect LED starts blinking.
- Tap the footswitch two or more times in rhythm with your desired tempo. The echo repeats will synchronize to your taps.
- The tap tempo feature is particularly useful for live performances to keep effects in time with the music.
3.4 Mic-Control Feature
The VOICETONE E1 supports TC-Helicon's Mic-Control feature, allowing remote on/off switching of the effect using a compatible TC-Helicon MP-75 microphone.

- If using an MP-75 microphone, connect it to the 'MIC' input.
- Press the button on the MP-75 microphone to toggle the echo effect on or off without needing to use the footswitch on the pedal.
4. Maintenance

- Disconnect the power before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit.
