4. Setup
4.1 Installing the Drop Funnel
Attach the 2-inch drop funnel to the bottom of your feeder barrel using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent feed leakage.

4.2 Mounting the Digital Power Control Unit
The PCU features sliding mounts with wingnuts for attachment to your feeder. This design allows for adjustment of the space between the spinner plate and the feeder's cone, accommodating different feed sizes and preventing jams. Securely mount the PCU to your feeder structure.
4.3 Battery Installation
The unit requires a 12V battery (not included). Open the battery compartment on the PCU and connect the battery terminals to the corresponding wires. Ensure correct polarity. The battery charge level will be displayed on the digital timer screen once connected.

5. Operating Instructions

Digital Timer Unit Operations
- Connecting Unit: Connect the unit to a 6V or 12V battery and the feeder motor. Check the fuse in the fuse holder. The current battery charge level and type will be displayed on the screen.
- Clock Setup: Press the ▼ button or program button once from "READY" mode to enter the "CLOCK" mode. Press the program button again to enter clock settings. Use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to adjust the desired hour, then press program and use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to adjust minutes. After the time is set, wait for 10 seconds to go back to "READY" mode automatically.
- Setting the Feed Time, Run Time & RPM: Use the ▲ or ▼ buttons from program button to enter the appropriate Feeding (FEED 1 thru 6). Press the program button to enter the feed time and use the instructions above (item #2) again and use the ▲ or ▼ button to enter the appropriate time or "OFF" position. Press the program button to set the RPM/Motor speed. Press the program button again and use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to set the RPM/Motor speed. Press the program button again and use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to enter the next feeding. After set, wait 10 seconds to go back to "READY" mode automatically.
- Testing Unit: To test the unit, press and release the "TEST" button. The unit will turn on after a 10 second delay, giving the user a chance to STEP BACK. The test will run with a duration set by the first feed time.
- Check Battery Charge: The battery level, indicated by the 5-bar icon on the screen, will display the charge level in real-time.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the spinner plate and motor housing to prevent buildup of feed, dirt, or debris that could impede operation. Use a dry cloth or soft brush.
- Battery Care: Recharge or replace the 12V battery as indicated by the battery charge icon on the digital timer. Ensure the battery is fully charged before extended periods of use.
- Weather Protection: The unit features a weather-resistant design. However, ensure all covers and latches are securely closed to protect internal components from extreme weather conditions.
- Connection Check: Regularly inspect all wiring and spade connections to ensure they are tight and free from corrosion. Crimp connectors with pliers if they become loose.
7. Troubleshooting
- Unit Not Powering On: Check battery connections and ensure the battery is charged. Verify the fuse in the fuse holder is intact.
- Feeder Not Spinning: Confirm the motor is properly connected. Check programmed feed times and duration. Test the unit using the 'TEST' button. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the spinner plate.
- Incorrect Feed Times/Duration: Re-enter programming settings carefully, following the 'Operating Instructions' section. Ensure the clock is set correctly.
- Feed Jams: Adjust the spacing between the spinner plate and the feeder's cone to accommodate the type of feed being used. Ensure feed is dry and free of large debris.
- Panel Not Closing Securely: Inspect the locking mechanism for any damage or misalignment. Ensure all components are correctly seated.
