1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Sharp SPC106X LED Alarm Clock. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your new alarm clock. Please read these instructions thoroughly before using the device.

The Sharp SPC106X features a clear 1.0" blue LED display, an ultra-thin design, and essential alarm functions including snooze. It is designed for indoor use and operates electrically with battery backup capability.

2. Safety Information

  • Power Source: Use only the specified power adapter. Ensure the voltage is compatible with your local power supply.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or dripping/splashing liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
  • Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Heat: Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

Controls and Indicators:

  • 1.0" Blue LED Display: Shows current time and alarm time.
  • PM Indicator: Lights up when the time displayed is PM.

5. Setup

5.1. Power Connection

  1. Unpack the alarm clock and its power adapter.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard household outlet. The LED display will illuminate.
  3. (Optional) For battery backup, open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit and insert 2 AAA batteries (not included). This will preserve time settings during a power outage.

5.2. Setting the Current Time

  1. Press and hold the TIME button. The hour digits will begin to flash.
  2. While holding the TIME button, press the HOUR button repeatedly to advance to the correct hour. Observe the PM indicator for correct AM/PM setting.
  3. While still holding the TIME button, press the MIN button repeatedly to advance to the correct minute.
  4. Release the TIME button. The time is now set.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Setting the Alarm

  1. Press and hold the ALARM button. The alarm hour digits will begin to flash.
  2. While holding the ALARM button, press the HOUR button repeatedly to set the desired alarm hour. Observe the PM indicator.
  3. While still holding the ALARM button, press the MIN button repeatedly to set the desired alarm minute.
  4. Release the ALARM button. The alarm time is now set.

6.2. Activating/Deactivating the Alarm

  • To activate the alarm, slide the ALARM ON/OFF switch (located on the side) to the "ON" position. The ALARM indicator on the display will light up.
  • To deactivate the alarm, slide the ALARM ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position. The ALARM indicator will turn off.

6.3. Using the Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/DIMMER button on top of the clock. The alarm will temporarily pause and sound again after approximately 9 minutes.

6.4. Adjusting Display Brightness (Dimmer)

Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button (when the alarm is not sounding) to cycle through different brightness levels (High, Low, Off) for the LED display.

6.5. Adjusting Alarm Volume

Slide the LOUD/SOFT switch (located on the side) to select your preferred alarm volume level.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace backup batteries annually or when the display shows signs of dimming during power outages.
  • Storage: If storing the clock for an extended period, remove the backup batteries to prevent leakage.

8. Troubleshooting

MZ Berger & Company warrants to the original consumer purchaser of this product that it shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for one year from the purchase date.
