Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide or unclip the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Use only fresh AA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

2. Antenna Adjustment

  • For optimal FM reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna.
  • Adjust the angle and direction of the antenna to achieve the clearest signal.
  • For AM reception, the radio uses a built-in ferrite bar antenna. Rotate the entire radio for best AM reception.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Volume Control

  • To turn the radio ON, rotate the Volume/Power dial clockwise until you hear a click and the radio powers on.
  • Continue rotating the dial clockwise to increase the volume.
  • Rotate the dial counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
  • To turn the radio OFF, rotate the Volume/Power dial counter-clockwise until it clicks off.

2. Selecting Radio Band (AM/FM)

  • Locate the AM/FM switch on the side of the radio.
  • Slide the switch to the desired band: AM for Amplitude Modulation or FM for Frequency Modulation.

3. Tuning to Stations

  • Once the radio is on and the band is selected, slowly rotate the Tuning dial.
  • Observe the Analog Dial Scale Display to find your desired frequency.
  • The Tuning Indicator light will illuminate when a strong signal is received, indicating optimal tuning.

4. Using Headphones

  • Insert a 3.5mm stereo headphone plug into the Headphone Jack located on the side of the radio.
  • The built-in speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
  • Adjust the volume using the Volume/Power dial to a comfortable listening level.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the radio's exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
  • Avoid getting moisture into any openings.

Battery Care

  • If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage.
  • Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

Troubleshooting
